PBXpress Live CD
Installing PBXPress Live CD
- Download and save the CD image from
http://www.pbxpress.com/download/pbxpress_demo.iso
- Burn a CD from the downloaded ISO image file. Important:
be sure to burn the CD as an ISO image file, not a
data file. Please consult “Instructions on
burning PBXPress Live CD ISO image file” or your CD burning
software manual for more information on how to do this.
- Boot your PC from the CD you have just burned. You may need to
access your computer’s BIOS setup (typically, press Del or F2
immediately after restarting your computer) in order to set CD-ROM as
the first boot device.
- As soon as your PC boots from the CD, you will see PBXPress
graphical user interface accompanied by the on-screen emulator of the
actual PBXPress box LCD.
- If a CD burns successfully, you will see a progress bar:

- After the initial phase is finished, you will see an IP
address. Point your Web browser (from another PC) to that IP
address in the form of http://192.168.0.2 and use
the following login and password: admin /
admin

Notes and known issues:
- PBXPress Live CD now works from external USB CD-ROM
drives as well as internal
- PBXPress Live CD recognizes and supports USB keyboards
- Will not access or mess up your hard drive
- On-screen LCD display is a simulation of actual LCD display built
into PBXPress box
- At least 512 MB of RAM is required
Instructions on burning PBXPress Live CD ISO
image file
- Nero Express: on the Nero Express startup screen, select
the option for “Disc Image or Saved Project”, then select the ISO
image file.
- Nero Burning ROM 5 or earlier: go to “File / Burn Image”
menu and select the ISO image file.
- Nero Burning ROM 6 or 7: go to “Recorder / Burn Image…”
menu and select the ISO image file.
- Roxio Easy CD Creator: go to “File / Record CD from CD
Image” and select the ISO image file.
If your CD drive comes with a different CD burning application,
please consult your CD burning software manual for information on how
to burn an ISO image.
