GFI MailArchiver is an email archiving and email management solution for Exchange Server that is easy to install and requires minimal administrative effort. It helps the company to reduce its dependency on PST files and to meet its legal and regulatory obligations. When GFI MailArchiver is installed, all email is stored in a central location that is easily accessible in two ways – through a folder in their Outlook email client or using a web browser. The method used to integrate with Outlook is an industry first because the technology does not use stub files which is what most products use.
GFI MailArchiver eliminates the pains of PST file management by allowing administrators to automatically archive emails to SQL or directly to NTSF. Users themselves can access past email via a web-based search interface and have the ability to quickly restore emails through a OneClick Restore process, without the administrator’s assistance. Using the auditing functionality, management can also access any email that is requested for eDiscovery/compliance purposes and guarantee that these emails have not been tampered with.

"Re "Licensing Warning"" - David Vella [January 18, 2007]
Hi Barry - Re the "Licensing Warning".
Please note that we fixed that issue and as from the last build, the product will not count mailboxes which are set in the exclusion list.
"Licensing Warning" - Barry Hohstadt [February 21, 2006] Product Rating: 3/5
The product is great, but the licensing model is not. The product scans Active Directory for mail enabled accounts, and counts every one against the license even if you are not archving the mailbox and put it on the exclusions list. For example, if you use resources in Outlook to schedule conference rooms etc., those "users" will count against the license total. So will your mail enabled accounts for Backup Software, alerts, test users and the like. I would give them a five if they fix their licensing model.
"Our users love the product - [Clustering not supported however]" - Mark Welsh [August 24, 2005] Product Rating: 4/5

"Not supported in Exchange cluster environment" - Richard Pearl Jr [May 5, 2005] Product Rating: 3/5
I just had an interesting chat with GFI Tech Support. According to them, clustering is not supported in the current version and *MAY* be supported in the next version. Bummer!
