The VMware vSphere 4 platform incorporates three platform-level technologies – High Availability (HA), Fault Tolerance (FT) and vMotion that significantly improve overall system resilience and continuous availability.

However, when it comes to protecting your business-critical Windows based applications, these technologies require additional functionality to deliver Continuous Application Availability.

Neverfail vAppHA for VMware provides that additional level of Continuous Application Availability by enabling failover under a variety of conditions that can be detected within virtual machines. Specifically business-critical applications are protected against the most common causes of downtime, such as application failures, service failures, performance degradation, configuration changes and user error.

After all, what’s the point of having a “Continuously Available” virtualization platform if the application itself, is no longer working?

"Very Dissapointing" - Tom Chute [April 23, 2007] Product Rating: 1/5
My Exchange Server has failed a few times and this product has been of no help. Their support has not beeb the best experience either.
"Neverfail for Exchange" - Joe King [March 14, 2006] Product Rating: 2/5
I've seen this in action at a customer site and it seems that for a "high availability" solution with "zero-downtime", the process for applying a service pack to your live server requires uninstalling and reinstalling the software as well as the service (Exchange) being unavailable during this time.
"Neverfail for Exchange" - Jim Bowen [May 19, 2004] Product Rating: 5/5
Having searched for a suitable product to protect my Exchange environment, this product has come up trumps. I've evaluated clustering technologies, and some of the leading data replication tools, but none of them came close to the features offered by the Neverfail product
