RSA Security has collaborated with Microsoft to add two-factor authentication
to Microsoft® ISA Server. The Microsoft ISA Server is designed to perform
a wide variety of security functions to protect organizations from electronic
security threats. Microsoft ISA Server provides firewall, virtual private network
and secure web publishing services. RSA SecurID® two-factor authentication
complements the Microsoft ISA Server to allow organizations to easily and efficiently
secure enterprise network resources. By deploying RSA SecurID strong authentication
solution with the Microsoft ISA Server, organizations can implement secure,
simple and highly reliable means of verifying a user’s identity before
granting access to network resources.
Microsoft ISA Server and RSA SecurID Solution for Secure VPN Access:
Organizations can build upon Microsoft ISA Server’s inherent VPN functionality
to require users to strongly authenticate with RSA SecurID before accessing
the network. RSA Authentication Agent for Microsoft® Windows®, a component
of the RSA SecurID solution, enables RSA SecurID two-factor authentication -
something you know (your PIN), and something you have (RSA SecurID token) -
before access is granted to the ISA Server VPN.
Microsoft ISA Server and RSA SecurID Solution for Web Publishing:
The Microsoft ISA Server allows users to publish content to web servers via an intranet. With the RSA SecurID solution coupled with the Microsoft ISA Server, organizations are able to secure access to web resources and allow only authorized users to publish content. Organizations can therefore implement efficient and reliable security to ensure the integrity of web content while allowing users to easily delete, update and add web sites.
