MiniPortal
MiniPortal is a complete web hosting solution for Windows.
MiniPortal combines the Apache web server, FTP server, a web-based administrative 'Control Panel', a set of plug-in extensions, and many other features into a single, integrated and easy-to-manage hosting system. MiniPortal may also be combined with ISMail to add email hosting support.
Installation, configuration, and administration are point-and-click. There are NO configuration files to edit.
On-line network tools check that the server PC and network are correctly configured.
Server-side scripting is supported with CGI, a native Perl interpreter, Apache/mod_perl, a PHP plug-in and ASP. A MySQL plug-in is available for database support. Additional plug-ins are also available.
MiniPortal has a relatively small memory footprint, and does not limit domains or active web connections. It is compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/2003.

MiniPortal Applications:
- Photo Gallery: display a gallery of photos from digital cameras. Since pictures are stored on local hard drive, CD or DVD, the number of photos and galleries is virtually unlimited.
- Remote File Access: access files on the hard drive or other storage devices remotely using either a web browser or FTP client. Three levels of protection are used to secure files: access restricted to HTTP/FTP ports, access restricted to specified directories, username/password protection.
- Webcam: access and control webcams in real-time.
- Web Hosting: host one or more websites. Sites can be accessed: from the internet, from an intranet, or from a local machine for testing or site staging.
MiniPortal Extensions:
- Web Applications: numerous web applications (e.g. content management systems such as phpNuke) are compatible with MiniPortal's Apache web server and ASP/Perl/PHP scripting systems.
- Databases: web-based database access is supported with a free MySQL plug-in. The plug-in integrates MySQL server control together with other servers, and includes a copy of phpMyAdmin, a web-based tool for creating and managing MySQL databases.
- Forums (Discussion Boards): the Forum plug-ins area includes several Forum systems, packaged for easy installation and configuration. Other Forums can be manually added to MiniPortal.
- FTP: the FTP server can be used to publish domains, for FTP file archival, or FTP file downloads. The FTP server has configurable user accounts to control access and file uploading rights.
- Scripting: CGI, ASP, Perl, PHP, and SSI scripting are all supported. Scripts can be made accessible to all domains, or script access can be limited to specific domains.
- Web-based Forms: Formmail and other form scripts are easily added to MiniPortal. The MiniPortal Tutorial contains instructions for Formmail setup.
- Web Server Customizations: the 'Control Panel' can be used to define user accounts, custom error pages, home pages, access and error logs, and password-protected directories.
