"Good product, but needs improving" - Chris Simons [March 23, 2006] Product Rating: 4/5
This software is extremely thorough in that it does seem to recover a large proportion of files from scratch. If you're recovering from a large hard drive, I recommend at least twice as much disc space available to recover to that you think. Why?...because it seems to recover older versions and some 'alternative' versions of your files. For example, it recovered 6 different versions of one file that I wanted. All but one of them was an invalid and corrupt version...but the correct one was fine. Previously I've used Zero Assumption Recovery, and this poroduct is equally thorough, with the added bonus that it performed well on USB sticks as well! As for comments made by previous individuals, I believe that they are misguided, as this is a good product that works well. It's a fact of life that data recovery is hard work, monotonous and time consuming, and not guaranteed. However, this software needs a little more 'debugging' - I also had a few crashes until I whacked in an extra memory stick. That's not to say that the issue might have been withhow it interfaces with Windows 2000, but I'd have expected that type of thing to have been tested.

Bottom line - it did what I would want from the software.
"Fantastic data recovery software" - Reginald S. [October 6, 2005] Product Rating: 5/5
This program is one of the best data recovery software programs I have come across. It was simple to use, recovered almost everything (unfortunatately not everything came back, but hey that's data recovery for ya, maybe I should be more careful next time). Highly recommended for the $69 price tag.

My comment is the same as Anne Marie, plus the program crashs after being ran for about 20 minutes. Even jpeg files are recovered but unreadable.

Unfortunately, I have wasted two days trying to recover my files with this product. True enough, it does find the lost files, and with intensive labor, you THINK you are recovering them....... but of 50,000 files that I can SEE are still there, I have only managed to recover a handful. The folders recovered only contain 1% of the files that the program led me to believe would be available. I have wasted valuable time AND money.
