Radmin (Remote Administrator) is a secure remote control software which enables you to work on a remote computer in real time as if you were using its own keyboard and mouse. You can remotely access the same computer from multiple places and use advanced File Transfer function, multi-user Text and Voice chat, Remote Shutdown and Telnet. Radmin supports multiple monitors, folder management in Radmin phonebook, scan for available Radmin Servers, mouse wheel support and many others. Radmin utilizes DirectScreenTransfer technology that provides speed of work with a minimal CPU usage. The major advantage of DirectScreenTransfer is that it receives data directly from Windows, before it ever gets to the Video RAM.
Radmin 3.0 fully supports Windows Vista 32 bit, including User Account Control and Fast User Switching. Another feature of Radmin 3.0 is its security system, which provides a high level of data protection from interception or all types of malicious attacks. Radmin 3.0 demonstrates an increase of security due to its integration with professional developments such as Windows Security, 256 bit AES data encryption for all data transferred, NTLM/Kerberos and Active Directory support. User authentication is substantiated by a modified Diffie-Hellman 2048 bit algorithm. The new increased levels of Radmin Security protect all the active data on the network. Access rights are individual for each user. Special IP-filter tables restrict access to specific IP addresses and sub-networks.
"Great software but Activation isn't horrible" - James V [April 24, 2009] Product Rating: 5/5
The software is fast and the best I've used for remote control. I've been using it since version 2 in 2000. With version 3 the company impletemented a not so good activation scheme. Sometimes it has taken 2 weeks to get the activation key and longer to get new keys for replacing dead hardware. I still gave it a 5 rating because the software is that good.
"Good software" - Matthew Wood [December 12, 2008] Product Rating: 5/5
We have over 1000 computers on the network and Radmin is installed on almost all. There are many situations where the control of a remote computer becomes very useful, and often necessary. For example, to install a specialized program on an accountant's machine, you simply connect directly to the machine on the network. It's very fast. Radmin supports flexible image quality management of the screens transmitted from the remote machine to ensure optimum connection speeds. All operations are carried out without any visible delays. When switching to real scale and full-screen, you can even forget that you're looking at the screen remotely through the network and feel that you are simply working at the local machine. Access rights can be configured from your own settings or from the system accounts Windows. That helps ensure high standards of security. I can say that Radmin is very secure and is a reliable software product, and has been working stably on our network for over four years now.
"Remote Administrator" - Andrew Butler [June 22, 2005] Product Rating: 5/5
We have been using Radmin for over three years and found it to be by far the best remote access / remote control application around.
Originally we trialled four different applications with varing levels of success, a number either killed the machine during install, or worse during un-install.
Radmin was also found the best product when wanting to co-habit with other applications.
The real power comes in Radmin by providing not just remote access to a machines desktop with 128-bit encryption standard, but also remote file access/transfer, a remote telnet type console access, and remote shutdown/reboot option.
No, we don't have shares in Radmin, just very impressed with a great product.
Radmin have also provided a good level of support when problems have been reported.
