Comments for GFI LANguard Network Security Scanner:
"Never without " - Daniele Muscetta [March 8, 2005] Product Rating: 5/5
Absolutely the best ratio between functionality and cost effectiveness. Amazing scanner that checks for the most important things to look at on a Windows Network, its effectiveness lies in the close integration with the patch management process, and in the overall simplicity (where the best things in life are usually also the simple ones).
"RE: Best tool so far" - Allan Cheong [December 10, 2004] Product Rating: 5/5

For the price one of the best scanning software packages around. I only used the Network Security Scanner and have not had a chance to eval the rest of their products.

This program is so cool!
"Awesome Tool!!" - Zach Crawford [June 18, 2003]
I've been using this product for about a year and it has been great to see the updates GFI has made. I can patch/hotfix, report, audit, and even script. Awesome for small-medium size enterprises!
"Good stuff!" - digger [June 9, 2003]
I tried this baby, works just perfect. It performs range scans and single IP scans. Lists the O.S and all open ports on the target system. The best part is the SNMP walk. It alerts that this optin is abailable and should be turned off. And you can even open shared folders on the network by double clicking the shared drive. But the dictinary attack and the passwrod probing only works for Win98 systems ONLY and not the later versions. But overall, its a must have tool (THUMBSUP)
"EZ-FAST-N-GOOD" - Jim Riley [February 6, 2003]
The scanner was very easy to use. The scans went extremely quickly. The results were good. References and access to patches was wonderful.
"Damn fine" - Richard [October 2, 2002]
Yep, it does a superb scan of your network, provides a wealth of details and information. Absolutely excellent.
"...ESSENTIALL!!!" - Kristian Brink [September 9, 2002]
