Diskeeper Undelete Server Rating:  (33 votes) - Vote
Last Updated: July 27, 2010
Undelete recovers deleted files instantly, no matter where across the network they were deleted from. Undelete safely replaces the Windows recycle bin with a Recovery Bin, which captures all deleted files, even the ones that typically bypass the recycle bin. You can even recover files you purged from the Recovery Bin or ones deleted prior to installing Undelete. Undelete Server version includes functionality that allows the system administrator to connect to and run every other Undelete program installed throughout a Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP network. System administrators can remotely customize Undelete features, such as exclusion lists and size of the Recovery Bin, and can remotely view and recover all files contained in any Windows NT/2000/XP Recovery Bin on the network.

Comments for Diskeeper Undelete Server:
"SLOW" - Chris Williamson [April 11, 2005] Product Rating: 3/5
I've had to shut down my SMTP agent because I neglected to add it's directory to the exclusion folder in Undelete Server. (Of course, I ran out of disk space.) I tried deleting the files using the management interface, but got nowhere fast. I eventually tried stopping the service, ended up killing it with rkill, then went into C:\RecoveryBin to delete the files manually through a command prompt... Much Faster!

Because of its interface, it's taken me much longer to recover disk space in this emergency.

The "under the hood" design for the interface has alot to be desired. But, it works great if you need to extend the features of Recycle Bin.
